A Message from the
This website is created to empower the voter and to provide each person the ability to frame their own questions based on their own values and to ask questions and build voting skills by learning:
Voters will have the opportunity to ask each of these individuals their stands on the matters that directly pertain to the day to day life in Torrance – our streets and infrastructure, our economic development, our safety, our recreation opportunities. How well do the candidates understand their roles in moving our city forward?
Attend one or more of the Candidate Forums.
TorranceVotes is our chance to give you information that we have provided to the candidates to use in making their own decisions on how they reach the voter when they send you materials, speak at candidate forums sponsored by your neighborhood or civic groups or walk in your neighborhoods.
Torrance has a dynamic Strategic Plan created by its citizens and endorsed by City Councils since 1996 and last updated in 2008. Take a minute to read the document. You may be able to quickly determine which of the Strategic Priorities resonate that you can use to frame your questions to the candidates.
The site will be a repository for the materials we are incorporating into the outreach we are making to citizens.
Please remember to go all the way to the very bottom of the ballot on Election Day! That’s where you will find the Torrance General Municipal offices.
Also on these pages you will see information on the election process and to direct you to answers for a number of our Frequently Asked Questions.
AND we are here to answer your questions if we have overlooked any aspect that you are most interested in!
Email CityClerk@TorranceCA.Gov with TorranceVotes in the subject line if you have any questions.
Serving as the directly elected City Clerk for the City of Torrance is an honor and a privilege.
